Family Fun

Whew!  This chick is wiped out!  We had Grandparent Day at school, which was totally awesome, but I'm exhausted!  I'm going to do a short post of some of the things we've been doing with our family and I'll post Grandparent Day tomorrow.  I don't think I have the energy to go through the pictures tonight!  I would like to highly recommend Kim Adsit Family Fun Math and Literacy Packet! Many of these activities came from there. You can purchase it  here.  Best $8.00 I've spent in a long time!
This is a great book to read and discuss families!  First, we read the book, then we shared who are the members of our family and then we drew pictures of our families.
This was in Kim Adsit's Family Fun packet.  She had a picture of the tree map and then I made one of my own.  We discussed the things that families have, can, are, and like to.  I loved their answers!  We had many more, but since they were writing as well, we narrowed it down to the three we liked best.
Popcorn word book for the week- Family Fun.  The popcorn words for the week are we, can. You can print it off here.
Here are some pictures from our Family Foot Project. These will also go in our Creation Books.  We haven't put the words on yet, but it will say God made man.  I didn't take pictures of all of them yet because my memory card was almost full.  I'm going to take more next week!  I love the baby foot on this one! :)
Love the painted toe nails and daddy has a newspaper and sports!

The dog's paw was included! LOVE it!!!! :)

This was one of the activities in the packet.  Our nursery rhyme was Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe, so this was perfect!  They actually did a great job with these!  I love that one of the boys put all girls in his shoes.  He said he had all boys that lived at his house already!

We are almost finished with our Creation books!  This is God made the fish and birds.  I know there is not a fish on the page, but we didn't have time to do any extra pages! :)

Now I'm off for some relaxation and Grey's Anatomy!  I'll have Grandparent's Day up tomorrow!

  1. I absolutely love your creation books! Is there anyway you could email me picture of all of the pages and the printables to go with them? I would love to borrow your idea for my K class if you don't mind!!

  2. No problem! I actually don't have much as printable go, but I will tell you what I did and send you what I do have! I still need to take pictures of the cover and last page, so when I do I will send it to you! :)
