Kinsey Farm Field Trip

     We had a fabulous, beautiful day at Kinsey Farm!  We were very worried because there was a chance of rain.  Fortunately, it held off until later in the afternoon!  It was the perfect day!

We went on a hayride.

We fed the fish.

The fish were huge!  There were catfish, brim, and crappie.

We learned about the horns on the goat.

Then we fed the goats!

We listed to a story about trees.

We learned about the different types of trees they grow on the farm.

We planted our own tree.

We all took a turn digging the dirt up for our tree.

It's hard work digging this dirt!

Once the hole was big enough, we put the tree in the dirt.  We had to loosen it up so the roots would have enough room to grown.

Then we put some special fertilizer around the tree.

We watered the tree so that it will be able to grow.

We had a picnic lunch before we went home.
