Holiday Fun

This is one of the books that we made for Christmas.  I'm a little torn because I usually do a lot of ornaments and more projects, but this year I decided to put them all in book form.  The book is absolutely precious, but I just can't decide which I like better.  I bought this book as a bundle from Michele at Musings of Me and it was worth every penny!  There were a few things that I slightly changed from what she did and we also read a book every day to go with the page.  Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the books that we read, but I'll at least post the title for them.  There's always next year!
We read Mr.Willoughby's Christmas Tree book to go along with our Christmas tree pages.  We glue buttons on the shape tree cover page, but I forgot to take a picture after we glued the buttons.
The tree was their handprint and the ornaments were their fingerprints.
The wreath was made out of puzzle pieces.  They painted the pieces green and then glued on a circle on the page.  We did not have enough small red pom poms, so we just used red construction paper.  We read Llama, Llama Holiday Drama to go along with our wreath page.
The elves turned out so cute!  They had so much fun doing the elf because they all have one of their own!  We read the Happy Elf by Harry Conick Jr.
We traced their foot for the body of the reindeer and their hands for the antlers.  We read The Reindeer Brigade.  This one was a new one for me this year.  Cute book!
Santa's eyes fell off! Haha!  This one they cut out the pieces, glued on, and then glued cotton balls for the beard and hat.   We read Twas the Night Before Christmas to go along with our Santa pages.
We broke the glitter out again!  We did the cookie page the same day as the wreath, so Llama, Llama also went along with this page.
I did not have a book to go along with the carolers, but we did sing Christmas carols and discussed what a carol is!
We read The Legend of the Candy Cane to go along with the candy cane page.  This was very simple.  they cut out the canes, glued them on the paper and colored the stripes.

I am going to try to get our Nativity book up tomorrow because after all, Jesus is the reason for the season!  If not, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
